Samsung is expanding its Odyssey OLED G8 monitor lineup with the introduction of a new 34-inch model in France. This follows the launch of the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 earlier this year.
The new model is likely to feature Samsung’s latest QD-OLED panel technology
The new monitor, model number LS34DG850 (also known as G85SD), is already available at SHI France for a price of 1068 euros (approximately 8,341 yuan). The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is €1,299 (approximately 10,145 yuan). Although detailed specifications have not yet been disclosed, the product listing confirms a 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 175 Hz refresh rate.
Samsung is likely to equip this new model with its latest generation QD-OLED panel technology. Compared to the first generation, these panels offer several potential improvements:
- Different pixel structure for improved image quality
- “Ultra-efficient EL technology” for increased brightness and reduced energy consumption
- IntelliSense AI 2.0 technology to further reduce the risk of burnout

Although not used in this model, the third-generation QD-OLED panels introduce “quantum enhancement” technology for even greater resistance to burn-in and improved energy efficiency through artificial intelligence algorithms. In addition, they use a “micro-point inkjet process” to increase pixel density, enabling 4K resolution on a 32-inch display.
Based on the anticipated panel technology, the new 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 can be expected to offer superior image quality, increased brightness, reduced power consumption and increased durability compared to the original 2023 model.
