Samsung has finally confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on January 17 in several markets. The event will feature the flagship Galaxy S24 series phones and Galaxy AI. The Galaxy Unpacked event landing page, which confirms the details of pre-booking, is already available on Samsung’s website.
Benefits of pre-booking the Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Samsung has confirmed that it will offer pre-booking benefits for the upcoming Galaxy S24 models in India. Customers can pay a fee of Rs. 1,999 (~$24, refundable) to pre-book the Galaxy S24 series and receive additional benefits worth Rs. 5,000 (~$60). This way, people can become one of the first owners of the Galaxy S24 series smartphones and also receive early delivery through Samsung Live.
Benefits include a program to upgrade old phones with the best exchange value, receive devices in special colors, and Smart Club membership, which offers a Rs. 5,000 welcome voucher and 2 percent loyalty points through the Samsung Shop App. In addition, there is a Buy More, Save More promotion that provides a 5 percent discount on the total purchase amount when you buy two or more eligible products.
According to reports, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will be available with either the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, depending on the market. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all markets.
The Galaxy S24 series will run on Android 14 based on One UI 6.1, which will provide support for Samsung’s generative artificial intelligence Samsung, dubbed Galaxy AI. Some of the features that Galaxy AI will offer include real-time speech translation during voice calls, dynamic weather effects for lock screen wallpapers, a generative AI-based wallpaper generator, summarizing notes in Samsung Notes, voice tagging and transliteration of up to ten people from voice recordings, and using generative AI to fill in images.
