Samsung Galaxy M15 and Galaxy F15 received BIS certification

Samsung’s Galaxy A series recently received an update with the recently released A15 5G and A25 5G smartphones. Now it’s the turn of the M and F series, and the upcoming M15 and F15 5G smartphones have been spotted in the Indian BIS certification database.

The Galaxy M15 5G and F15 5G smartphones have received BIS certification under the model numbers SM-M156B and SM-E156B, respectively.

While the list doesn’t provide official names, we can make an educated guess based on previous models. The M14 and F14 used the model numbers SM-M146B and SM-E146B, and following this pattern, the M15 and F15 will likely have model numbers SM-M156B and SM-E156B, respectively.

More details are expected to come out soon as these phones have not yet undergone any certification. However, the M15 is rumored to have a powerful 6000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging capability.

Speculations also indicate that the M15 and F15 are slightly modified versions of the recently released A15 5G.

So, we can take a look at the A15’s specs to see what to expect. The phone introduces a fresh design element called the “key island”, a raised area for the power and volume buttons. The smartphone has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In terms of software, the headset boots to Android 14 based on OneUI 6, and Samsung also promises four generations of Android updates and 5 years of security updates.

On the back, the phone has a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front has a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
