Samsung Galaxy M15 5G console listing on Google Play confirms MediaTek processor

Samsung is preparing to expand its budget Galaxy M series with a new Galaxy M15 5G smartphone. The device was spotted on the Google Play store, revealing some key features and hinting at an imminent launch.

According to the listing in the Play Console database, the smartphone will be equipped with a MediaTek MT6835V/ZA processor with two efficient Cortex-A76 cores, six efficient Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali G57 graphics processor.

The chipset specifications are very similar to those of the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, which we have already seen in action in the recently released Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. So we can expect both devices to perform equally well in everyday tasks.

In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI. The display is listed as a 6.5-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution, most likely a Super AMOLED screen with a smooth 90 Hz refresh rate.

Apart from these details, the Play Console listing does not reveal much other information about the device. However, it has recently received a Safety Korea certificate confirming the presence of an impressive 5880 mAh battery (possibly sold as 6000 mAh) with 25W fast charging support.

Earlier this month, images of the device surfaced showing a typical Samsung design with a teardrop-shaped notch for the front camera and three color options. In addition, the device has received the necessary certifications such as FCC and BIS, indicating a quick launch in various markets.

The Galaxy M15 5G specifications we’ve seen so far are similar to those of the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy F15 5G. This is in line with Samsung’s usual Samsung strategy for its budget devices, where we often see similarities between models.
