The Redmi Note 13 series in China is represented by four models: Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, and R-Pro. Now the Xiaomi sub-brand has quietly introduced a new model in the lineup. Redmi Note 13R has the same 6.79-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 550 nits of peak brightness. However, the refresh rate has been increased from 90 Hz to 120 Hz and is adaptive. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
The optics in Redmi Note 13R are the same as in its predecessor. The main 50-megapixel camera is combined with a 2-megapixel macro lens. The front selfie camera is 8 megapixels compared to 5 megapixels on the Note 12R.
Redmi Note 13R has the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It has up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The maximum storage capacity of the Note 12R is 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone is powered by a slightly larger 5030 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. In terms of software, it comes with Android 14 operating system based on HyperOS.
Redmi Note 13R is available in silver, black, and ice blue colors. Pricing starts at CNY 1,399 (~$193) for the base 6GB + 128GB version. The top-of-the-line 12GB + 512GB configuration costs 2,199 yuan (~$304).
