Reddit introduces new features for comments

Reddit is rolling out new features for comments, including the ability to share comments as posts, a comment analysis tool to track things like pros and cons, and draft comments, according to a post from Reddit’s development team. These features are rolling out today on Reddit’s native apps and on the web, and will continue to roll out “over the next few weeks.”

Sharing comments as posts can be a useful way to “draw attention to and revisit past conversations,” Reddit says. It can also mean that comments from one subreddit will appear in other places, which can lead to interesting discussions (or just new memes).

These changes build on other recent product improvements, such as the ability to hide posts from your profile and notifications when a post is within a subreddit’s rules. Yesterday, Reddit confirmed to me that its first-ever chief product officer is leaving the company and that it is looking for a new head of product.
