Pixel 10 leak shows Google has added another camera

Google may add an additional camera to the base Pixel 10 model, according to renders from leaker OnLeaks published by Android Headlines. The images show that the Pixel 10 looks almost identical to the Pixel 9, but with a wider glass panel on the rear camera panel, hinting at a third rear camera.

The outlet writes that the phone “will have a triple rear camera, according to CADs that Onleaks has been working on.” In an email to The Verge, the author of the article, Alexander Maxham, said that it “looks like a very small periscope telephoto”. The Pixel 9 has a rear primary and ultra-wide-angle camera, but lacks the telephoto shooter found on the back of its Pro counterparts.

Other than that, it doesn’t look like much will change. Android Headlines reports that it looks like the Pixel 10 will be only 0.1 mm thicker than the Pixel 9 and will keep the 6.3-inch screen and matte finish of its predecessor. It looks like the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL phones won’t change much on the outside either, and both will be a hair thicker than their Pixel 9 counterparts, according to separate leaks from Android Headlines.

Android Headlines notes in both articles about the Pixel 10 Pro model that the new phones are expected to feature Google’s Tensor G5 chip, made by chipmaker TSMC. The new chip is expected to be more powerful – previous rumors suggested that they would be able to run Stable Diffusion locally – and Android Headlines claims that it will be less prone to overheating than the Pixel 9 series phones.
