OPPO Find X7 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is on sale

OPPO has just unveiled the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, which claims to be the best camera phone on the market. The device combines cutting-edge camera hardware, OPPO HyperTone camera system, and state-of-the-art computational photography in a sleek design. Let’s take a closer look at everything this device has to offer.

Design and display

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra looks very similar to the Find X7, with a large round camera module on the back with four notches and Hasselblad branding. The frame is made of metal, with the volume rocker and power button on the right side and a three-step notification slider on the left. Find X7 Ultra boasts a sophisticated two-tone design in Ocean Blue, Sepia Brown and Tailored Black. All three color options come with premium vegan leather trim.

From the front, the device features a bright 6.82-inch curved screen with QHD+ resolution and LTPO technology that delivers smooth, high-quality images, reaching brightness up to 1600 nits outdoors. It features 2160 Hz PWM brightness control and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz. ProXDR technology extends the dynamic range, making HDR photos stand out from the crowd. It has a centered opening for the front camera and fingerprint scanner located below the screen.

Camera system

The Find X7 Ultra features a HyperTone camera system consisting of four main cameras with HyperTone image processor. It includes four 50-megapixel cameras with large sensors, with two periscope zoom cameras that solve the problem of the gap between optical focal lengths. The main camera with a second-generation 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor offers detailed images with a special f/1.8 aperture lens and OIS. The ultra-wide-angle camera with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor is perfect for macro and three-dimensional landscapes.

Find X7 Ultra has unique dual periscope cameras. The 3x periscope zoom camera is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, which provides creative freedom with a close focal length of 25 cm. In addition, the 6x periscopic telephoto camera, equipped with a large 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensor, perfectly captures a wealth of detail for both landscape and telephoto shots.

The device represents four key breakthroughs in photographic technology:

  1. HyperTone Image Processor: While computer photography has transformed smartphone photography, OPPO’s HyperTone Image Engine delivers a natural-looking photo without compromising on quality.
  2. Continuous zoom: The Find X7 Ultra covers the entire zoom range from 14mm to 270mm, allowing users to seamlessly capture high-quality photos throughout the entire range.
  3. Hasselblad Portrait Mode: In collaboration with Hasselblad, OPPO introduces a portrait mode with four focal lengths, creating cinematic bokeh with maximum precision.
  4. Hasselblad Master Mode: Bringing professional photography to smartphones, Master Mode offers advanced controls and unique photo opportunities.

Technical characteristics

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. With a large 5000mAh battery, the Find X7 Ultra delivers a full day of use, complemented by 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging that reaches a full charge in less than 30 minutes. OPPO prioritizes user privacy with a dedicated security chip and privacy-focused VIP slider. Finally, it has a custom ColorOS 14 shell based on Android 14, as well as connectivity options such as NFC, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.
