The OnePlus Pad debuted on the global market in February last year. In October last year, the brand introduced the budget and color model OnePlus Pad Go for the Indian market. Now OnePlus is working on the Pad 2.
Tipster Max Jamboree on X (formerly Twitter) reports that the OnePlus Pad 2 will be released in the second half of 2024. However, he does not mention any other details about the tablet. As a reminder, the first generation OnePlus Pad was released in China as the OPPO Pad 2 a month after the global debut of the first. It remains to be seen if the same will be true for OnePlus Pad 2.
Recently, we have been hearing rumors about OPPO Pad 3. A reliable Digital Chat Station informant has revealed that the tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. If this indeed turns out to be true, it will receive a significant upgrade over its predecessor, which features the Dimensity 9000 SoC on board. Last month, the same insider also said that the OPPO Pad 3 could arrive in the second quarter of this year, which is between April and June.
We’ll have to wait and see whether the OnePlus Pad 2 or OPPO Pad 3 will debut first. Both tablets are expected to be similar: the former will be available worldwide, while the latter will be limited to its home market.
