Nubia has announced a “Photographer’s Edition” of its flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z60 Ultra, which will be launched on March 28. Nubia has confirmed that this spatial edition model will include a real-time call translation feature based on artificial intelligence, which the company has high hopes for. Nubia notes, “it can instantly become your portable translator.”

Feature similar to Galaxy S24 Ultra

Nubia says that the photographic version of the Z60 Ultra will offer both real-time call translation and face-to-face translation, just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

In addition to AI translation features, this phone also includes an AI image model for better computational photography results. This phone also has a “magic AI feature” that reportedly aims to understand the story the user is trying to tell with a photo and adjusts the image processing. The teaser also mentions another feature called “AI Smart Voice”. Although the function of the latter is unclear. Nobia notes that “AI smart voice makes intelligent interaction more carefree” (machine translation).

The Nubia Z60 Ultra ‘Photography Edition’ comes with the same hardware as the standard Nubia Z60 Ultra, which was launched last December. Speaking of optics, the Z60 Ultra features a triple camera setup – a 50MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor with a 35mm focal length, a 50MP OmniVision OV50E wide-angle camera, and a 64MP 3x periscope telephoto shooter with a 85mm focal length.

It was one of the first flagships to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and is equipped with up to 24 GB of LPDDR4x RAM paired with a 1 TB UFS 4.0 drive.
