Nubia Z60 Ultra launch date confirmed, key specifications leaked again

The Nubia Z60 Ultra will be unveiled at 14:00 (local time) on December 19 in China, as Nubia has confirmed with the poster below. The Z60 Ultra will replace the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Z50 Ultra, which was announced in March this year. While recent leaks have revealed many details about the Z60 Ultra, the poster below doesn’t reveal anything other than confirming the launch date. Here are the expected specifications of the device.

Nubia Z60 Ultra specifications (rumored)

The Nubia Z60 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and possibly a 120Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the screen will not have perforations, which means it will offer a true full-screen mode thanks to the fifth-generation selfie camera built into the display.

In addition to the rumored 16-megapixel front camera, the device’s rear camera will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera. The latter is likely to support up to 3x optical zoom, like other flagships with the same periscope zoom.

Under the hood of the Z60 Ultra is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging capability. Like its predecessor, it can come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is expected to ship with Android 14 based on MyOS. The new leak claims that it will be a dust and water resistant device with IP68 dust and water protection.

Rumor has it that the upcoming presentation will also feature another phone called the Nubia Z50 SE. It is said to be an affordable flagship phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
