Nova Post ‘s solar power plant (SPP) has a capacity of 1 MW and covers 5,000 square meters. The cost of the project amounted to UAH 14 million, with a planned payback period of three years.
In the near future, the company will install industrial uninterruptible power supply systems and electricity storage equipment, which will make its energy facilities even more efficient.
Working in the face of electricity shortages
“Business must work under any conditions, and no external circumstances give us the right to let our customers and partners down. That is why we set ourselves the goal of becoming an energy-independent company,” says Volodymyr Popereshnyuk, co-owner of Nova Post.
According to him, the company will now not only provide electricity for logistics needs, but also reduce the load on the general power grid in times of shortage.
Capacity expansion
Since 2022, when Russia started launching missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, Nova Post has fully ensured the uninterrupted operation of its branches and sorting hubs with generators with a total capacity of 36 megawatts.
At the same time, the company decided to go further and install solar power plants and cogeneration gas piston units with a total capacity of 10 MW to strengthen its own energy autonomy.
As a reminder, in 2024, Nova Energy was established as part of the NOVA group (Nova Post) to ensure the fuel and energy independence of the group’s companies. The company is already operating in the wholesale fuel supply market and will enter the electricity supply market in the future.
