Nothing has introduced the Phone 2a Plus Community Edition, a limited edition smartphone created in collaboration with its most passionate fans. This glow-in-the-dark device marks an important milestone as the first Nothing product to be created by a community, where fans have worked directly with the Nothing team to shape every aspect from hardware design to marketing.
In a statement released to the media today, Nothing announced that the Community Edition project, which launched in March, received more than 900 entries from 47 countries. The winners Astrid Vanhuisse and Kenta Akasaki (hardware design), Andres Mateos (wallpaper design), Ian Henry Simmonds (packaging design) and Sonia Palma (marketing campaign) worked closely with Nothing’s design, creative and marketing teams in London to bring their concepts to life. The result of their efforts is a striking glow-in-the-dark version of the Phone 2a Plus, offering a unique twist on the original.
With this project, Nothing is reimagining how companies and communities can collaborate to create a future where the line between brand and user is blurred. This initiative is the first important step towards co-developing hardware, software, and content with Nothing fans, the company emphasized.
How to get Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition
Phone 2a Plus Community Edition will be available exclusively to community members. Only 1,000 units will be released worldwide, making it one of the most exclusive products from Nothing.
