Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4th. This new version will include all previously released free DLC updates, as well as new monsters that will be added later.
Local Co-op Returns
A significant addition for the Switch 2 version is the return of the series’ early titles’ local co-op feature. This means players can now invite friends over to form hunting parties and embark on quests together directly from their homes, fostering a more social and interactive monster-hunting experience.

In addition to the Switch 2 release, Capcom is also developing the first major expansion for Monster Hunter Stories 2, titled “Ascension”. This expansion promises to introduce a brand-new hunting area, story quests, and more monsters for players to encounter.

Players take on the role of a young monster rider who inherits a mysterious egg and sets off on an adventure with their companion, a small but capable monstie.
