These distinctive wheels, initially designed for the updated MEGA, will also be compatible with all 2024 and 2025 Li MEGA models. The company confirmed that the installation process is straightforward and quick.
New Wheel Design and Availability
The new “flying saucer” wheel covers represent a fresh design specifically developed for the next iteration of the Li MEGA. Li Auto has stated that these wheels can be fitted onto the original wheels of all 2024 and 2025 Li MEGA vehicles. The company plans to make these available for purchase in October through the Li Auto Mall. It’s important for owners of older MEGA models to note that after installing the new wheels, the method for inflating tires will differ from the new generation MEGA. Users are advised to consult the official user manual for detailed instructions before making a purchase.
Enhanced Interior Features Revealed
In addition to the wheel updates, Li Auto also addressed several other questions regarding the new MEGA’s interior features, highlighting improvements aimed at enhancing comfort and versatility.
“Living Room Main Light” Enhancements
The “Living Room Main Light” in the new MEGA offers adjustable brightness levels to suit various scenarios:
- Maximum Brightness: Provides the brightest cabin environment, ideal for family gatherings, entertainment, or even occasional work meetings.
- Ambient Brightness: Features a softer illumination, one-eighth of the maximum brightness, creating an elegant and comfortable atmosphere. This setting is designed to be non-intrusive, even in a zero-gravity reclining position, perfect for naps or relaxation.
The color temperature is fixed at a warm white (3500K), inspired by home lighting design principles. Li Auto explained that this specific temperature creates a warm and inviting ambiance, akin to lighting chosen for a living room, avoiding the harshness of overly white light or the dimness of overly yellow tones.
“Star River” Mode
A new decorative element, described as the “Star River” mode, has been added around the main light. This feature utilizes TPO translucent skin technology. When illuminated, it creates a romantic and dynamic starry sky effect. When turned off, it seamlessly integrates into the leather upholstery, maintaining a smooth tactile surface.
“Floating Combination Tableboard”
The new generation MEGA introduces an “Intelligent Combination Tableboard,” which can be configured into three distinct forms:
- Large Dining Table: Offers the maximum surface area, perfect for family meals or interactive activities in the “big living room” mode.
- Small Side Table: Designed for upright seating positions, this compact table can be permanently installed in the cabin, functioning like a small coffee table at home.
- “Half Table” State: This configuration is achieved by combining two foldable table leaves with the small side table. Users can opt to install only one leaf for a stable “half table” setup, offering flexible usage.
