LG gram laptops with hybrid AI presented at CES 2025

LG Electronics is unveiling its LG gram 2025 series – the company’s first laptops with built-in artificial intelligence – at CES 2025 in January. The new lineup includes innovative models such as the gram Pro, gram Pro 2-in-1, gram, and gram Book.

Powered by LG’s gram AI artificial intelligence technology, these laptops deliver advanced features and superior performance, using extensive language models and personalized AI features to enhance the user experience – all while maintaining the series’ signature thin and light design.

Increase productivity and personalization with LG gram AI

The gram 2025 laptops offer a smarter, safer, and more personalized user experience thanks to LG’s innovative Gram AI artificial intelligence technology. With built-in gram chat, these laptops use AI algorithms to process and analyze data locally without requiring a network connection. At the same time, they provide convenient access to cloud-based AI services through gram chat Cloud, powered by GPT-4o.

This subscription-based service that uses GPT-4o is offered free of charge for the first year. The integration of embedded and cloud-based artificial intelligence creates a hybrid solution that improves productivity by providing personalized prompts, a broad knowledge base, and an intuitive experience that constantly adapts to users’ needs.

The built-in gram chat uses a small language model based on a large one – EXAONE by LG AI Research. This ensures fast and secure local data processing to provide relevant responses and simplify device management. Key features include Time Travel, which allows users to quickly and easily return to web pages, documents, videos, and audio files.

Meanwhile, cloud-based gram chat uses large-scale web data sets to provide detailed and comprehensive responses to user queries. In addition, it integrates with your personal calendar and email, allowing you to manage your schedule and send and receive messages more efficiently.

High performance with next-generation Intel processors

The LG gram 2025 laptops set a new standard for this series by running on next-generation Intel processors: Intel Core Ultra H-Series (Arrow Lake) and Intel Core Ultra V-Series (Lunar Lake). The H-Series processors are designed to maximize the performance of traditional PCs, while the V-Series processors are optimized for AI-powered PCs.

LG’s Arrow Lake-based gram laptops boast more processing power and improved graphics processing compared to the gram 2024 models. These exceptional laptops deliver unprecedented all-in-one performance that prioritizes essential PC functions. Lunar Lake-based models come with Microsoft’s Copilot+, which offers productivity and creativity enhancements such as real-time video subtitling and AI-powered image generation.

Innovation and versatility for everyone

Leading the 2025 lineup is the LG gram Pro (model 17Z90TR), a laptop that delivers the best in performance and portability. Inside its sleek, thin, and lightweight body is an Arrow Lake processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 4050 graphics card. This powerful hardware combination allows the gram Pro to easily handle a variety of demanding tasks, from demanding graphic design and 3D rendering to video editing and running the latest AAA games.

The lineup also includes the new LG gram Pro (model 16Z90TS), the first Copilot+ PC in the gram series. At only 0.49 inches thick and weighing 2.73 pounds, it offers excellent portability. Another interesting model is the 16Z90TR, which boasts a 16-inch display and a very light weight of just 2.64 pounds. As the lightest model in the gram Pro 2025 lineup, it exemplifies the series’ signature lightweight design combined with powerful performance.

In addition, the highly versatile LG gram Pro 2-in-1 (model 16T90TP) was recognized with the CES 2025 Innovation Award for its outstanding design and functionality. Offering exceptional flexibility, the device comes with a wireless charging stylus that extends and enhances the user experience.

To expand its presence in the U.S. market, LG is introducing the LG gram Book (model 15U50T), an entry-level device that offers the key features and benefits of the gram series at a more affordable price point. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, expandable storage options, a 720p HD webcam with privacy curtain, and a thin and lightweight design that allows you to take your notebook anywhere.

Support for gram Link 2.0

All new gram notebooks support gram Link 2.0, an updated version of the gram Link feature first introduced last year. It seamlessly connects devices across multiple operating systems2, allowing users to easily share content and transfer files between a wide range of PCs and mobile devices, including iOS and Android smartphones.

This feature also allows users to receive phone calls directly on gram laptops, minimizing interruptions to their workflow.
