In the wake of the Russian attack on a TV tower in Kharkiv, Kyivstar TV is providing free access to its movie and TV platform to enable residents of the region to watch Ukrainian news resources.
Every day, the enemy continues its attempts to destabilize Ukrainian society and limit Ukrainians’ access to verified information, especially in the border and temporarily occupied regions. For example, after several attempts to jam Ukraine’s satellite broadcasts, on April 22, Russia attacked a TV tower in Kharkiv in an attempt to disrupt digital television broadcasting (T2) in the Kharkiv region.
In order to provide Kharkiv residents with the opportunity to receive information even in the face of enemy attacks, Kyivstar TV provides residents of the city and region with free access to news and other content during the crisis using the promo code KHARKIV.
How to get it
Instructions for activating a promo code to access Kyivstar TV:
- Download the Kyivstar TV app to your device (Smart TV, smartphone, set-top box) or open the web version in your browser at the following link: https://tv.kyivstar.ua/.
- Complete free authorization by phone number.
- In the Profile section, select Enter promo code.
- Enter the promo code KHARKIV in the appropriate field and click “Next”.
- Enjoy uninterrupted access to Ukrainian television.
Kyivstar notes that subscribers of all mobile operators and Internet providers will be able to activate the promo code until the end of spring. The promo code provides trial access to the Premium HD package.
The Kyivstar TV movie and TV platform is available from one account on 5 devices simultaneously: smartphone, TV, tablet, laptop and set-top box. You can download movies, TV series and programs in the app and watch them without Internet access, as well as connect the Children’s profile for free to restrict children’s access to unwanted content and advertising.
