The Kyivstar mobile communications operator has introduced from March 22 the Home Internet service of fixed-line access to the Internet in seven cities of Ukraine. The service is provided under the FTTB technology (Fiber to the Building). The company has laid over 800 kilometers of fiber-optic cables.
The service is available in Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Simferopol, and Odesa.
Kyivstar suggests four unlimited tariff plans for service users.
The “Light” tariff plan provides the Internet access speed of 2 mbps (the subscriber fee for Odesa users is UAH 65 per month, UAH 80 per month for Lviv users, UAH 85 per month for Kyiv and Kharkiv users, and UAH 90 per month for Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Simferopol users).

Kyivstar, a mobile communication operator, ended 2009 with earnings before interest depreciation taxes and amortization (EBIDTA) of NOK 5.076 billion (according to the International Financial Reporting Standards). In 2009 Kyivstar saw its net revenue down 34.6% or NOK 4.787 billion to NOK 9.047 billion over 2008.
