September has seen a surge in flagship smartphone launches, and to meet consumers’ demand for swift delivery, Jingdong Logistics has deployed over 10,000 pre-positioning warehouses nationwide. This initiative, coupled with the collaboration of tens of thousands of offline stores for stock preparation, enables delivery in as little as 9 minutes.
Jingdong Logistics’ Rapid Deployment Strategy
These pre-positioning warehouses were fully deployed in September and are set to comprehensively support the development of Jingdong Group’s ‘Instant Delivery’ service. When customers place an order through Jingdong Instant Delivery, couriers will pick up items from the nearest pre-positioning warehouse. The entire delivery process is trackable in real-time, ensuring transparent and visible logistics information.
As the first service provider in the country to offer an open, industry-wide integrated instant retail warehousing and distribution solution, Jingdong Logistics has pioneered a ‘shared pre-positioning warehouse + self-operated delivery’ model. This approach provides merchants with minute-level fulfillment services that are immediately accessible upon stocking, thereby lowering the barrier for merchants entering the instant retail market. Currently, Jingdong Instant Delivery’s pre-positioning warehouses cover major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, with a steady nationwide expansion in progress.
