Jia Nan Technology (加南科技) has provided a glimpse into its upcoming AI smart glasses, signaling an acceleration in product development with a planned launch in the spring of 2027. This new iteration promises a seamless blend of advanced technology and everyday eyewear design.

Sleek Design Meets Smart Functionality

The standout feature of the new AI glasses is their truly borderless frame design, allowing them to closely resemble conventional optical glasses. This focus on aesthetics extends to user comfort and accessibility, as the product will support prescription lenses, catering to a wider audience.

Working in collaboration with Zhejiang Tongda Optics Co., Ltd. (浙江通达光学有限公司), Jia Nan Technology has rigorously tested the structural integrity and mass production feasibility of the design. This partnership ensures that the conceptual vision is translated into a viable, manufacturable product.

Lightweight and Feature-Rich

Weighing in at just 26 grams, the new smart glasses are designed to be as light as regular eyeglasses, significantly enhancing user comfort for extended wear. The temple arms are impressively thin, measuring only 2.3 millimeters, well within the 2.5-millimeter threshold, contributing to their discreet and unobtrusive profile.

Despite their slim profile, the glasses are equipped with integrated speaker units, eliminating the need for separate headphones. For health-conscious users, a built-in PPG heart rate monitoring module will continuously collect heart rate data. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth PAN technology, which simplifies the user experience by allowing direct connection to cloud AI services without the necessity of a dedicated companion app after the initial pairing.

Looking Ahead

While the specific AI capabilities and features beyond heart rate monitoring are yet to be fully detailed, the focus on a lightweight, aesthetically pleasing design with direct cloud connectivity suggests a move towards more integrated and less obtrusive smart wearable technology. The 2027 spring release date indicates a deliberate development cycle aimed at refining these advanced features.

This announcement follows Jia Nan Technology’s previous release, the Kannan K2, which was noted for being the world’s lightest AI glasses at the time, weighing 25.8g and featuring a 32MP camera. The company’s continued efforts in pushing the boundaries of wearable technology, particularly in the AI smart glasses segment, position them as a key player to watch in the evolving landscape of augmented reality and smart personal devices.
