Last month, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which is nothing but a toned-down version of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The new chip powers the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro and upcoming smartphones for the Chinese market such as the Redmi Turbo 3, Realme GT Neo 6, and iQOO Z9 Turbo. Digital Chat Station’s Tipster has been consistently finding details about the Z9 Turbo, which is expected to debut this month (April) in China. Today, he published a new post on Weibo revealing almost everything about the device.
Specifications of iQOO Z9 Turbo (rumored)
According to DCS, the iQOO Z9 Turbo will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a flat design. In addition to supporting a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, the screen also has PWM brightness control at 2160Hz. The screen is likely to be integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip is likely to come with 12GB/16GB of RAM. Both variants are likely to have 512 GB of internal storage. It is likely to debut as the world’s first smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
For selfies, the Z9 Turbo may be equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The dual-camera system on the back of the device may have a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel lens, probably for ultra-wide-angle shots.
Previous reports claimed that the Z9 Turbo will run on Android 14 and OriginOS 4. It may have a dedicated chip for graphics and may be equipped with a plastic frame.
