Well ahead of the event, 91mobiles brought us the full specs list for the Z9 lineup, thanks to whistleblower Ishan Agarwal. This should give you a clear idea of the key differences between the trio.

Technical specifications of the iQOO Z9 series (leak)

    • Display: The iQOO Z9x may have a 6.72-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the other two phones may have a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate.
    • Cameras: The iQOO Z9 and Z9x can be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. The Turbo model can have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera as an additional sensor instead of a portrait lens. While the iQOO Z9x has an 8-megapixel selfie camera, the regular iQOO Z9 and the Turbo version have a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
    • Processor: Under the hood, the iQOO Z9x can be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, the Z9 by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, and the Z9 Turbo by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
    • Memory: The iQOO Z9x and vanilla Z9 can have LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, but the Turbo can have a faster combination of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 ROM.
    • Battery: While all three phones can rely on a massive 6000mAh battery, the charging speed may be faster on the iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9 Turbo at 80W. The charging speed of the iQOO Z9x can only be 40W.
    • Software: All three iQOO smartphones can have the OriginOS 4 shell based on Android 14.
    • Design: Of the three smartphones, the iQOO Z9x may be a few grams heavier at 199 g (versus 195 g for the other two). All of them are said to have a plastic back panel.
    • Miscellaneous: The iQOO Z9x may differ from the other two models in terms of biometric solution. It might come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Z9 and Z9 Turbo might have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. In addition, it may have a 3.5mm audio jack, which these two models don’t seem to have. However, it might not have an infrared blaster and NFC, which the Z9 and Z9 Turbo might have.
