Huawei has officially announced the HarmonyOS 7 Beta recruitment plan, with several devices already eligible for early access. Among the supported models are the Mate 80, Pura 90, nova 16, MatePad Edge, and MateBook Fold. Notably, the nova 16 SE is slated to begin its HarmonyOS 7 Beta recruitment in September.
The Huawei nova 16 SE features a 6.84-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 8000 nits. It also supports 2160Hz PWM dimming and is powered by the Kirin 8020 processor. The device is equipped with a substantial 8500mAh Huawei Whale battery and supports 66W fast charging.
For photography, the nova 16 SE boasts a 50MP RYYB main camera (1/1.56″ sensor) paired with a Maple Leaf Original Color camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera. A key feature is its support for two-way Beidou satellite messaging. The phone comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 6.1.
In terms of design, the Huawei nova 16 SE is available in four colors: Starry Black, Sakura Snow Clear Sky, Sky White, and Dawn Orange. It weighs 229g and measures 163.3mm in length, 78mm in width, and 7.98mm in thickness.
