On January 4, Honor will launch the Honor X50 GT in China. This will be the second phone in the GT series after the Honor 90 GT, which debuted earlier this month. Yesterday, the brand confirmed the design, configurations, and color options of the X50 GT. Today, it revealed the chipset that will power the device.
Honor has confirmed that the Honor X50 GT will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The performance-focused phone will feature the Honor GPU Turbo GPU for an enhanced gaming experience. According to the brand, the X50 GT unlocks the maximum performance of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, outperforming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is especially noticeable in gaming scenarios where superior frame rates are achieved.

The Honor X50 GT will reportedly feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The SD8+G1 chip may be accompanied by LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5100mm² VC heat sink.
The X50 GT may be equipped with a 5800 mAh battery with 35W charging support. It will have an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 108-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup on the back. It will run Android 14 based on Magic OS 7.2.

The Honor X50 GT is expected to go on sale for a starting price of 1,999 yuan. As confirmed by the brand, it will be available in variants such as 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It will be available in shades such as Magic Night Black and Silver Winged God of War.
