Honor MagicBook Pro 16 laptop makes its debut in China

Last month at MWC 2024, Honor unveiled the MagicBook Pro 16 laptop with artificial intelligence and new Intel Core Ultra processors. Now it has debuted in China, standing out as the first laptop to use a non-standard 24GB non-binary RAM (LPDDR5X-6400).

This new non-binary capacity, along with 12GB and 48GB, is expected to become more common for notebooks in the coming days, giving customers a relatively affordable option to get a higher memory option rather than just doubling the capacity.

A 24GB RAM configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H chip is currently available for pre-order. At MWC, the brand showed that the laptop also has a more powerful configuration based on Core Ultra 7 155H and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU.

The laptop has a 16-inch display with a resolution of 3072 x 1920, a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 color space coverage, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The laptop has 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, so it will most likely not have a 48GB RAM version. In addition, it has a large 75 Wh battery, fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm jack, HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C.
