Honor recently launched the Magic 7 series of smartphones in China, which included the vanilla Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro. Now, it seems that the company is preparing the ground for the expansion of this line to include a new Magic 7 Lite model. The Magic 7 Lite has been spotted in the Google Play database of supported devices and consoles. Here is the full information.
Honor Magic 7 Lite on Google Play Supported Devices and Play Console
The device has appeared with the model number HNBRP-Q1 on both platforms, which is interesting because the Honor X9c, which was launched today in Malaysia, also has the same model number. However, the list of supported devices on Google Play and Play Console confirms that the device is called Honor Magic 7 Lite. So, we assume that this could be some kind of rebranding. But in which region? Well, that remains a question.
A listing on the Play Console has revealed that the upcoming Honor device will have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with an Adreno 619 GPU and 12GB of RAM. Unfortunately, it doesn’t reveal any details about the device’s storage or cameras. However, it is mentioned that the upcoming device will have a 1224×2700 FHD+ resolution and will run on Android 14.
Furthermore, it also shows a render of the front of the device that looks very similar to the recently unveiled Honor X9c. Which further strengthens our belief that this could be a rebranding of sorts. But until we get an official announcement, it’s always worth approaching these details with caution.
