Honor is expected to launch the Honor Magic 6 series in China in January. According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, the two flagship phones with a focus on photography are expected to be announced around January 8 and 10 in the domestic market. This has led to speculation that both the Oppo Find X7 series and the Honor Magic 6 lineup could debut in that timeframe. However, a recent update indicates that the Magic 6 series could potentially be unveiled on January 11
Magic 6 series launch date (expected)
The upcoming Magic 6 series will reportedly include several models, including the Honor Magic 6 Porsche Design. The screenshot above, which is being shared on Weibo, suggests that the pre-sale period for the Honor and Porsche Design flagships will end on January 11. The screenshot seems to belong to the website of a Chinese retailer, but there has been no official announcement about the end of the Magic 6 series pre-sale period. Nevertheless, the listing suggests that the Magic 6 series will be announced on January 11 in the Chinese market.
It is expected that the Honor Magic 6 series will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The top-of-the-line model of the series, which is likely to be the Honor Magic 6 Pro, will be equipped with two-way satellite communication support.
One of the main highlights of the Magic 6 lineup is that it is expected to feature a one-inch 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K primary camera. This will allow it to compete with smartphones such as the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Vivo X100 Pro+, which are expected to feature a one-inch 50-megapixel Sony Lyt-900 primary camera.
If the Magic 6 series will indeed debut on January 11, the company may release an official confirmation later this week or next week.
