The Pixel 10 has been the talk of the town lately. It was recently spotted during a promotional shoot, new colors have been leaked, and now a launch date has reportedly been set.
According to AndroidHeadlines, Google is planning to unveil the Pixel 10 series at its Made by Google event on August 20th. That’s no earlier than last year, despite some previous rumors. If the leak is confirmed, the phones will start shipping in just over a week, on August 28th.
Also, don’t be confused by reports or leaks claiming the Pixel 10 series will launch on August 13th, including one from Arsene Lupin (on X). In fact, AndroidHeadlines originally reported this date as well, but after checking with additional sources, it appears the launch has been pushed back by a week.
The report claims that four Pixel 10 devices will debut at the event: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. There’s also a chance that we’ll see the Pixel Watch 4 alongside the phones.
Google isn’t changing much… visually
Don’t expect any drastic changes visually. The Pixel 10 series is said to stick to the familiar design language of its predecessor. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are also expected to retain the same camera hardware as last year’s models. The base Pixel 9, on the other hand, could finally get a telephoto lens for optical zoom.
As for the display, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to feature PWM dimming and flicker reduction to make the screen easier on the eyes.
We’ll likely hear more information as the event approaches, but for now, it looks like Google is keeping things business as usual, at least at first glance.
