Google completely redesigns Snapseed photo editor for iOS

After several years, Google has released a major update for the iOS version of its Snapseed photo editor. In version 3.0, the program offers a complete redesign for both iPhone and iPad. All images that have been edited with the tool are displayed in a grid. Navigation has been redistributed into three tabs, with a new Favorites section for photo tools you want to quickly use on a regular basis. It boasts more than 25 different tools and filters for modifying photos, including some newly added film filters. Snapseed also has an updated logo with a more streamlined look.

Google acquired Snapseed back in 2012. The new look for the app comes as a surprise, as Snapseed hasn’t received any major updates on iOS since 2021. One thing that hasn’t changed is that the app remains free and ad-free. For now, last year’s version of the app is still available on Google Play for Snapseed, and it’s unclear if and when version 3.0 will be available on Android.
