Godox has officially launched the A2, a new xenon camera flash designed specifically for smartphones. This innovative accessory aims to elevate mobile photography with professional-grade lighting capabilities. The A2 is currently compatible with iPhone 15-18 series models and is priced at 399 Chinese Yuan.
Professional Lighting for Your Pocket
The Godox A2 boasts a guide number of GN15 and supports an impressive 1/8000 second high-speed sync. Its professional xenon flash technology promises direct, impactful lighting, making it ideal for challenging photographic scenarios such as backlight and night portraits. This ensures users can capture stunning images even in low-light conditions or when combating harsh lighting.
Smart Connectivity and Control
One of the standout features of the A2 is its seamless integration with smartphones. It utilizes the self-developed Godox Camera App and connects quickly via NFC. The flash offers both an automatic TTL (Through-The-Lens) mode for effortless shooting and a professional manual mode (M) for advanced control. Users can fine-tune parameters like shutter speed, ISO, and white balance, as well as adjust flash output power to achieve their desired creative vision.
While currently supporting the iPhone 15-18 series, Godox has announced that Android and HarmonyOS versions are under active development, promising broader compatibility in the near future.
Versatile Illumination and Accessory Mount
Beyond its xenon flash, the A2 incorporates a 3W Nori LED light source. This LED offers adjustable color temperature ranging from 2800K to 6000K, catering to both photo and video supplementary lighting needs. The flash head features a magnetic design, allowing for quick attachment of various accessories such as softboxes, honeycomb grids, barn doors, and magnetic stands. This versatility enables photographers to shape and modify the light for different creative effects.
For convenience, the A2 features MagSafe magnetic attachment on its rear, enabling swift mounting onto the back of compatible iPhones. It can also be used detached from the phone, offering flexibility in lighting placement.

The Godox A2 mobile xenon flash is now available for pre-order on JD.com, priced at 399 Yuan. This accessible price point makes professional mobile lighting more attainable for a wider range of creators.
