CMF has just announced a new smartphone and headphones

Nothing‘s sub-brand, CMF, has just announced several new products, including an update to its flagship smartphone. The Phone Pro 2 looks to be an improvement over its predecessor in all major aspects.

The company claims that it is the lightest and thinnest smartphone it has ever created. It is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 6.5 ounces. This may make it the lightest phone Nothing has ever produced, but the iPhone 16, for example, weighs only six ounces.

The sixth-generation MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor includes an 8-core processor that can run at up to 2.5 GHz, which provides a boost in both processing and graphics when compared to the CMF Phone 1. The battery also looks particularly durable, as the company claims it can run for two full days on a single charge.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and four cameras, including a 50-megapixel primary camera. This system includes a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a front-facing selfie camera. In addition, the camera has a modular design, as users can install a fisheye lens and a macro lens.

CMF Phone 2 Pro is available in four colors, but each color has unique design elements. For example, the black and light green models have a frosted glass back panel that is framed by a metal frame. The orange model boasts a metallic sheen, and the white phone has a sandstone panel finish on the back.

The good news is that these are budget phones. The 256GB model costs only $279. However, it looks like they will be hard to come by here in the US. Pre-orders are technically open today, and shipping will begin on May 6, but the phone is only available to participants in the company’s beta program.

Now let’s move on to the headphones, neither of which will be available for purchase in the US at launch. CMF Buds 2 look like a standard entry-level product, with a frequency response and technology that simulates spatial sound. They cost about $50.

CMF Buds 2 Plus adds high-quality LDAC and a full-fledged equalizer to the mix. They cost about $65. CMF Buds 2a are designed for frugal consumers, although they still contain ANC. They cost about $38. All these headphones will go on sale on May 6.
