Asus has introduced the new ROG Azoth Extreme keyboard. The recently launched keyboard costs $499. For comparison, that’s almost as much as the RTX 4070, which also costs around $500, maybe a little more.
The new Asus ROG Azoth Extreme has 81 hot-swappable keys and uses “ROG NX” switches. It also boasts a color OLED display in the upper right corner. The keyboard has an aluminum body and supports all connection options: wired and wireless Bluetooth. In addition, there is a mini-knife under the OLED display that you can customize using the Armory software.
Compared to other keyboards on the market, the ROG Azoth Extreme is quite heavy at 2200 grams with the wrist rest. It has an impressive 8000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, which is a significant improvement over its predecessor’s 1000 Hz polling rate. The polling rate indicates how often the keyboard inputs are transmitted to the computer. Considering that many mice on the market have a polling rate of around 10,000 Hz, 8000 Hz for a keyboard is just crazy.
