Apple allows you to synchronize passwords with Firefox, but not in Windows

If you store your passwords in Apple’s iCloud, you can access them in Firefox using the official iCloud Passwords extension, as spotted by MacRumors. However, the extension only supports macOS Sonoma or later, so you won’t be able to use it on Windows.

If you need to access your iCloud passwords on Windows, you can download iCloud for Windows and the iCloud Passwords extension for Chrome or Edge. We asked Apple if it plans to add Windows support to its Firefox extension.

The Firefox extension was originally created by another developer, but Apple took over, according to a post on the extension’s GitHub page. According to the developer, Apple “is now the sole owner responsible for maintaining its own official iCloud Passwords extension.” The extension’s repository and source code are no longer associated with it, except for “historical reasons.”
