At the Alibaba Cloud conference 2026, Alibaba’s QwenWork division unveiled its first desktop robot, the QwenNote Eva. Positioned as a desktop robot that’s both capable and understanding, Eva aims to integrate seamlessly into the modern workspace.

Meet QwenNote Eva: More Than Just a Robot

The QwenNote Eva, which notably does not include a screen, is designed to work with Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS devices. It leverages the power of QwenWork’s AI capabilities and the collaborative foundation of DingTalk. The device consolidates several key functions into one desktop terminal: task execution, multi-device linkage, meeting scheduling, AI meeting transcription, emotional companionship, and desktop charging. Alibaba boldly claims that “1 Eva = 1 Team,” highlighting its ambition to significantly boost productivity.

Unlike typical voice assistants, QwenNote Eva emphasizes proactive task delivery. Users can issue commands in natural language, and Eva will actively work to fulfill them. Examples include generating HTML reports from product sales data, creating AI-powered spreadsheets from meeting notes, sending messages to colleagues, or joining and managing conference calls. The Eva system operates on a “command issuance – multi-device linkage – result reporting” loop, ensuring that user needs are understood, tasks are executed promptly, and information is delivered efficiently.

Seamless Integration with DingTalk and Workflow Enhancement

A key feature of QwenNote Eva is its deep integration with the DingTalk ecosystem. This allows for high-frequency office tasks such as sending messages, making calls, controlling meetings, and receiving calendar reminders directly through Eva. The robot is not just for single-answer queries; it’s designed to be embedded within workflows, handling the entire process from understanding a request to executing it and reporting back the results. Eva can process information from local files, web pages, applications, and multimodal inputs, presenting the outcomes on a PC to minimize the need for users to switch between different tools.

Versatile Scenarios for Every Need

Alibaba envisions QwenNote Eva as a versatile tool capable of adapting to various scenarios. As an AI work assistant, it can support brainstorming sessions, provide business insights, help with task delegation, and perform AI-powered meeting note-taking. As a personal AI assistant, it’s always ready to execute lighter tasks such as setting reminders, sending messages, or even ordering coffee. Furthermore, Eva can function as an AI simulation tool, offering capabilities like English language practice partners or mock interview scenarios.

An Interactive and Empathetic User Experience

The interaction experience is another highlight of QwenNote Eva. The robot supports multiple wake-up methods, including gaze detection, touch, and voice commands. A light ring around the screen indicates when Eva is listening. Users can also switch between different modes like Do Not Disturb, Companion, and Rest. Powered by qwen-audio, Eva boasts advanced voice and emotional capabilities. It features an extensive library of over 100 expressions, three switchable eye designs, and various emotional displays. Through visual recognition, emotional understanding, and long-term memory, Eva aims to become more attuned to the user the more it interacts with them.

Hardware and Charging Capabilities

Physically, QwenNote Eva sports a compact desktop design, measuring approximately 124.8×124.8×179.3mm and weighing around 700g. It incorporates a 3-axis gimbal motor and a magnetic wireless charging structure. The device’s head can rotate ±180° horizontally and tilt +15° vertically, with ±20° of horizontal adjustment. It also features an RGB ambient light for added aesthetic appeal.

In terms of power, the QwenNote Eva supports a wide AC input range of 100-240V and can output up to 65W using a GaN fast-charging solution. It offers both dual Type-C wired charging and magnetic wireless charging, compatible with Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS devices. For connectivity, it is equipped with Bluetooth BLE 5.4.

QwenNote Eva is priced at 899 yuan and became available for purchase at 8 PM on September 22nd. This innovative device represents a significant step forward in bringing AI-powered assistance directly to the user’s desktop.
