The Headway app, developed by the Ukrainian EdTech IT company of the same name, has become the most downloaded app in the US App Store in the Education category. Headway also entered the top 15 among all applications on the platform, ahead of Facebook, Netflix, and Spotify.
In early January 2024, Headway overtook Duolingo, the most popular language learning platform, to take the top spot in the educational app niche in the US App Store. In the Play Market, the app is ranked second in this category.
In addition, Headway was ranked 15th in the overall ranking of all App Store applications in the United States, overtaking Facebook, the largest social network in the world.
“Despite all the difficulties, the products created by Ukrainians continue to win top spots in the rankings, win awards, and prove that together we are a force,” says Anton Pavlovsky, CEO and founder of Headway.
Earlier in 2023, Headway also received an Editor’s Choice award and hit the US App Store home screen at least five times as an App of the Day. Apple’s platform creates separate product rankings for each country, taking into account the number of downloads, ratings, and value to users. All global apps strive to get into the US App Store, as it is the largest market with high competition.
