The winners of the 2026 Canton Fair Design Awards (CF Award) have been announced, recognizing 222 products from 174 companies. Among the distinguished recipients, the Zhang Xue Motorcycle 820RR has clinched the prestigious Supreme Gold Award, sharing the top honor with the Zixun Capsule Robot Gastric Endoscope System.

Innovation and Intelligence Shine at the CF Awards

The CF Awards, established in 2013, aim to highlight exceptional design and high-quality innovation showcased at the Canton Fair. The winning products will be prominently displayed during the upcoming 140th Canton Fair, scheduled to take place from October 15th to November 4th, 2026, across three phases at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

This year’s awards reveal a strong focus on three key trends:

1. Emphasis on “New” and “Quality” Production:

A significant portion of the winning products comes from technology-driven enterprises, embodying the characteristics of new quality productive forces. From the Supreme Gold Award winners – the Zhang Xue Motorcycle 820RR and the Zixun Capsule Robot Gastric Endoscope System – to advanced items like brain-computer interface rehabilitation systems and exoskeleton robots, the awards underscore a trend towards innovation-led high-end manufacturing.

2. “Intelligent” Upgrades and AI Integration:

Smart products constitute 32% of the awardees, reflecting a robust development in AI-powered solutions. Categories such as AI glasses, smart conference terminals, and intelligent health and elder care devices are set to transform various sectors, including home, office, healthcare, and outdoor activities.

3. Pervasive “Green” and Low-Carbon Practices:

The principle of green sustainability is deeply integrated into the entire product lifecycle, from research and development to design and production. Notably, 44% of the winning products are designated as green products. Innovations in new energy applications, such as photovoltaic curtain walls and energy-saving integrated panels, alongside the use of eco-friendly materials like sugarcane paper and bio-based fabrics, highlight a deepening commitment to sustainable development.

Design Ecosystem Bolstered by International and Domestic Talent

Complementing the award-winning products, the Product Design Trade Promotion Center (PDC) at the 140th Canton Fair will host 101 design institutions from six countries—including the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Turkey, and South Korea—as well as from Taiwan and mainland China. This year also marks the debut of R&D and design institutions specializing in new acoustic materials, battery new energy technologies, and technology intermediary services, further empowering Chinese manufacturing through design innovation.

The first phase of the 140th Canton Fair, running from October 15th to 19th, will specifically feature products in categories such as vehicles, motorcycles, new energy vehicles, and smart mobility, aligning with the theme of innovation and design showcased by the CF Award winners.
