Huawei has officially announced the pre-sale for its new Smart Screen S7 RGB, a significant upgrade featuring advanced RGB-MiniLED display technology and a proprietary light and color control chip. Starting at 3999 yuan, this new smart screen aims to deliver a superior visual experience for consumers.

The Huawei Smart Screen S7 RGB marks a departure from traditional single-color backlighting. It employs a new RGB-MiniLED backlight technology, utilizing individual red, green, and blue light-emitting chips. This approach allows for independent illumination of each color, resulting in more accurate and purer colors. Coupled with a super-focus lens, the technology minimizes light halo effects, enhancing overall picture quality.
Huawei claims this new display technology supports 105% BT.2020 color gamut, offering approximately 66% richer color depth compared to traditional MiniLED TVs. Furthermore, it boasts a 94-bit high color control accuracy, ensuring subtle color gradations are precisely reproduced.
Proprietary Light and Color Control Chip
At the heart of the S7 RGB is Huawei’s self-developed light and color control chip. This chip is engineered to precisely synchronize the color and brightness of each individual LED bead in real-time. This dynamic adjustment capability ensures accurate color reproduction and responsiveness to on-screen content. The system is further enhanced by an AI color calibration algorithm, designed to deeply restore natural colors, bringing a lifelike viewing experience.

The new RGB-MiniLED backlight utilizes a 24-core light-emitting chip, which boosts color efficiency by 10%. Combined with a new generation of high-end LCD (IPS) panels, the screen’s overall light efficiency sees a 21% improvement. The Huawei Smart Screen S7 RGB is available in three sizes: 55 inches, 65 inches, and 75 inches. All models feature a 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and an IPS hard screen panel. The display supports a native refresh rate of 120 Hz. Additionally, it can achieve a 300 Hz high refresh rate through a frequency doubling technology when receiving a 300 Hz signal from external devices like PCs or gaming consoles.

The larger 75-inch model steps up with two 12.5W full-frequency speakers and two additional 12.5W high-frequency speakers, also in a 2.0 channel setup with HUAWEI Histen support.
