Initially priced at 8499 yuan, the ultralight laptop is available exclusively on JD.com with a special introductory offer. Customers can take advantage of a 500 yuan discount coupon, and with government subsidies, the final price drops to an impressive 6799.15 yuan. The device also supports a 3-month interest-free installment plan and comes with a 2-year on-site service warranty.

The Lightest XPS Yet

The XPS 13 Air lives up to its name, boasting the title of Dell’s lightest XPS laptop to date. It measures a mere 12.7mm at its thickest point and weighs approximately 1kg, making it an ideal companion for those on the go. The chassis is constructed from aluminum using a unibody CNC process, ensuring a premium feel and durable build.

Stunning Visuals and AI Power

The laptop features a vibrant 13.4-inch 2.5K QHD+ touchscreen display with an InfinityEdge ultra-narrow bezel design. It offers a peak brightness of 500 nits, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and supports a dynamic refresh rate from 30Hz to 120Hz. Certified by VESA DisplayHDR 400 and supporting Dolby Vision, the screen promises an immersive visual experience for both work and entertainment.

Under the hood, the XPS 13 Air is powered by the 3rd Gen Intel Core 5 320 processor. This 6-core, 6-thread CPU can reach a turbo frequency of 4.6GHz and includes an NPU with 16 TOPS of AI computing power. The processor is configured for a sustained performance of 25W and a peak power draw of 35W, paired with Intel Xe integrated graphics. The standard configuration includes 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a 512GB SSD, with an option for up to 32GB RAM and 1TB storage available (though not yet listed on JD.com).

Multimedia and Connectivity

For audio, the XPS 13 Air is equipped with an 8W quad-speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos for an enhanced sound experience. The integrated 2MP 1080P infrared camera supports Windows Hello for secure and convenient logins.

Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which support DisplayPort 2.1 and high-power charging. The device houses a 52Whr battery, rated for up to 17 hours of streaming playback, and supports Dell’s Rapid Charge 1.0 technology.

Eco-Conscious Design

Dell has also emphasized sustainability with the XPS 13 Air. The laptop has achieved EPEAT Gold and Energy Star certifications. It incorporates recycled materials in its construction and uses 100% recycled or renewable materials for its shipping packaging.

Government Subsidies Available

It’s worth noting that government subsidies for digital and home appliances are ongoing in China until 2026. Consumers purchasing electronics, including laptops and tablets, can receive an 8.5% discount, capped at 500 yuan for products under 6000 yuan. For home appliances, a similar 8.5% subsidy is available, with a maximum of 1500 yuan per item.

The Dell XPS 13 Air is positioned as a premium, ultraportable option for users who prioritize mobility without compromising on display quality or performance, especially with its AI capabilities. The introductory pricing, combined with government subsidies, makes it a compelling offer in the current market.
