Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot 7C, a new addition to its smart home ecosystem. Available for pre-order on Xiaomi Youpin, the robot is priced at 2299 yuan, with an introductory price of 2069.1 yuan after coupons. It is set to go on sale on August 26th at 10 AM.
Innovative Rolling Mop Technology
The Mijia Robot Vacuum 7C distinguishes itself with its innovative rolling mop system. This feature utilizes a dual-roller design with a continuous supply of clean water and a constant pressure system, mimicking human mopping techniques. The rollers spin at a high speed of 200 RPM, effectively tackling stubborn stains like coffee, grease, and pet paw prints. By continuously washing and rinsing the mop pads, the robot minimizes secondary floor contamination, ensuring a more thorough clean.
Enhanced Suction Power and Anti-Tangle Design
Boasting an upgraded suction power of 30,000 Pa, the new robot is equipped to handle a wide range of debris, from fine dust and small particles to larger fragments and carpet fibers. It effectively captures pet hair embedded deep within carpets. The design incorporates an automatic hair-cutting main brush and anti-winding side brushes, significantly reducing the common issue of hair tangling around the brushes during operation.
Intelligent Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance
Equipped with an AI camera and line laser obstacle avoidance, the Mijia Robot Vacuum 7C can identify and navigate around over 220 common indoor objects, including shoes, bar stools, and even weight scales. Its advanced sensors ensure flexible navigation even in low-light conditions. The robot also features a line laser for edge cleaning, allowing it to precisely follow walls and corners for thorough edge-to-edge coverage. Its slim profile of 9cm allows it to easily access hard-to-reach areas under beds, cabinets, and sofas.
Smart Features for Seamless Cleaning
The robot employs ultrasonic sensors to intelligently detect carpets. Upon recognition, the rolling mop pads automatically lift by 10mm, and suction power is increased to prevent wetting the carpet while simultaneously cleaning any hidden dirt. The Mijia Robot Vacuum 7C can also overcome obstacles up to 2cm high, such as thresholds and door sills, enabling it to move freely between different rooms like balconies, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Automated Docking and Maintenance
Once cleaning is complete, the robot autonomously returns to its base station for self-cleaning of the mop pads. Following the cleaning cycle, a hot air drying function activates, ensuring the mop pads are fully dried in as little as 2 hours. The base station also features a high-power dust collection system that automatically empties the robot’s dustbin into a 2.5L antibacterial dust bag, which can hold up to 75 days’ worth of debris, minimizing the need for frequent manual emptying. Additionally, the base station is equipped with separate 4L clean water and 3.5L dirty water tanks, reducing the frequency of water refills and changes.
