The National Television Company of Ukraine intends to begin broadcasting in Russia on September 1.
The National Television Company of Ukraine’s General Director Yehor Benkendorf announced this while responding to a question from Ukrainian News.
“With the help of God, [we will begin broadcasting] on September 1… Application for a license for satellite television broadcasting is presently being filed with the National Council [on television], a logo has been created, a package of documents for the national council has been prepared, and talks are being held and official agreements are being concluded for inclusion in the NTV+ package,” he said.
Benkendorf expressed the hope that all the necessary procedures can be completed despite the short period available.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Russia considered the possibility of organizing broadcasting of Ukrainian television channels on its territory in March.
