Tencent’s Mojang Studio has officially announced that the 3D fighting game “Under One Person” (《异人之下》) will be launching in December. The game, based on the popular Chinese animated IP of the same name, is set to be available on iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS platforms, with cross-platform data synchronization between PC and mobile devices.
Pre-Launch Testing and Player Engagement
Ahead of the official release, the game is opening recruitment for its final closed beta test, referred to as the “Endgame Test” (终局测试). This limited, paid, and data-wiping test is scheduled to commence on November 4th. Recruitment for the test is now open, with the application questionnaire closing on October 27th at 4 PM. As of now, the game has garnered an impressive pre-registration count exceeding 30 million across all platforms.
Cross-Platform Play and Data Synchronization
The “Endgame Test” will feature cross-platform play, allowing players on PC and mobile devices (including iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS) to interact. Crucially, data will be synchronized between PC and mobile. While QQ and WeChat players can be matched against each other in battles, data from QQ and WeChat accounts will not be interchangeable. Each selected player will only be granted access to a single platform account, and it is essential to accurately specify the desired platform and account in the recruitment questionnaire to avoid issues. Duplicate test qualifications across multiple channels are not permitted.
Gameplay Mechanics and Features
“Under One Person” is designed to be a 3D fighting game that emphasizes strategic combo execution rather than solely relying on rapid button presses. The game’s skills are rooted in martial arts, Taoist magic, and traditional Chinese folk arts. The combat system is built around a fully realized 3D battlefield, incorporating classic fighting game mechanics such as aerial juggling, knockbacks, and recovery actions.
During this final test phase, two primary gameplay modes will be available:
- Adventure Mode: Players can experience three story chapters, engage in character development, and tackle various challenges through modes like the “Trial Path” (试炼之路) and “Peak Path” (争锋之路).
- Sparring Mode: This mode offers fair, competitive play without character progression stats. It includes various competitive formats such as “World Tournament” (天下会武), “Quick Match” (快速对决), and “Speed Duel” (极速单挑).
Technical Requirements and Player Advice
The “Endgame Test” is designed to be compatible with most mainstream mobile devices. Importantly, the test qualification will not be tied to a specific login device, allowing players to experience the game on multiple devices once they have secured a spot. However, all participants will need to complete real-name verification to access the game.
Tencent has also issued a stern warning against unauthorized sales of test qualifications. The company explicitly states that it has not authorized any individual or organization to sell these access slots and urges players to obtain their qualifications exclusively through official channels. Players are advised to be wary of any third-party platforms offering test access for sale.
In-Game Purchases and Refund Policy
The “Endgame Test” will feature an in-game purchase system. However, due to policy restrictions, iOS and HarmonyOS platforms will not support direct in-game top-ups. Players will need to use the PC client or other compatible mobile platforms for any purchases. For players who participated in previous tests (the “Hundred Forms Test” (百相测试) and the “Endgame Test”), a tiered refund policy for in-game purchases will be implemented upon the game’s official launch. The refund policy is as follows:
- For cumulative top-up amounts less than 300 RMB: 200% of the amount will be returned as in-game currency (符券).
- For cumulative top-up amounts up to 3000 RMB: The first 300 RMB will be refunded at 200%, and the amount exceeding 300 RMB (up to 3000 RMB) will be refunded at 150%.
- For cumulative top-up amounts exceeding 3000 RMB: The first 300 RMB will be refunded at 200%, the portion between 300 RMB and 3000 RMB will be refunded at 150%, and any amount over 3000 RMB will be refunded at 118%.
It’s important to note that the refund will be credited to the same account used for testing purchases, and account transfers for refunds are not supported.
