A few days after YouTube posted a blog post that it might soon lose Paramount content, it updated it to announce a deal to keep it. The company wrote on X that as a result, channels such as CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon, as well as apps such as Paramount Plus, Showtime, and BET Plus, will remain.
In its announcement on February 12, the company said it would offer an $8 credit if Paramount content was “unavailable for an extended period of time,” but updated the next day to say that negotiations had continued. YouTube TV has not said more about its new deal or how it might affect pricing. When asked by X whether it would raise prices as a result of the deal, the TeamYouTube account replied: “We take these decisions very seriously and will be sure to keep you informed.”
