It has been reported that Xiaomi is working on a series of flagship Pad 7 tablets for the Chinese market. This year, the company introduced the Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro, and Pad 6 Max to the Chinese market. The standard model was released worldwide, but the Pro and Max variants remained exclusive to the Chinese market. Recent reports claimed that although China would receive several Pad 7 series tablets in 2024, it would only release the standard model to the global market. A new report shows that the Pro model will also be released in markets outside of China.

According to a report from GSMChina, the internal HyperOS build for Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has been spotted for the first time. Based on the existence of a global HyperOS build, it is claimed that the Pad 7 Pro will be released on the global market. Unfortunately, the report does not reveal anything about the device’s specifications.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, while the Pad 7 Pro will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. According to the latest reports, the Pad 7 Pro will have an LCD panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

For audiophiles, the tablet will be equipped with four speakers. Finally, it is expected to run Android 14 based on HyperOS 14.

According to reports, Xiaomi will hold an event in April 2024 to announce the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro tablets are expected to debut at the same event.
