Xiaomi’s ecosystem brand, Mijia, has unveiled its latest smart home innovation: the Mijia Smart Fish Tank 2 Pro. The new product is now available for crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin, with the campaign running from August 17th to August 31st. It’s being offered at an attractive crowdfunding price of 599 yuan.
Advanced Filtration System
The Mijia Smart Fish Tank 2 Pro boasts a custom-designed circulation system that guides water through multiple layers of filter materials. This multi-stage filtration effectively intercepts impurities, preventing water backflow and ensuring efficient circulation to minimize filtration loss. The biochemical filter compartment features a unique U-shaped water channel, extending the contact path for beneficial bacteria to cultivate, thereby enhancing purification efficiency.
The filter box is designed with a stratified isolation structure, physically separating fish waste and uneaten food from the main water body. Multiple filter cotton layers progressively trap debris, while rapid water drainage quickly removes contaminants from the water.
Enhanced Water Inlet and Expandability
The multi-functional water inlet compartment utilizes a multi-stage diversion design to ensure water fully flows through the filter media, significantly boosting filtration efficiency. This compartment also includes standardized expansion ports with 5W smart waterproof interfaces. These allow users to easily add accessories like UV sterilizers or heaters without altering the tank’s layout, maintaining a neat and organized appearance.
Powerful and Quiet Pump
At the heart of the filtration system is a built-in water pump equipped with a full copper four-pole brushless motor and low magnetic loss circular silicon steel sheets. This combination delivers stronger power and a larger flow rate. The pump features an extra-wide inlet grille, optimized impeller flow path, and pump chamber gap structure, designed for smooth waste discharge and reduced clogging. To ensure a quiet operation, the pump uses low-resistance ceramic shafts and sleeves, sound-absorbing cotton, and a fully sealed, potted motor, effectively minimizing operational noise.
Smart Features and Connectivity
A standout feature of the Mijia Smart Fish Tank 2 Pro is its 1.47-inch HD LCD color screen. This display provides clear, at-a-glance information on water temperature, device status, and any abnormal alerts. The user interface is designed for simplicity, guiding users through operations with ease.
The tank comes equipped with an automatic feeder that supports both manual and smart modes. Users can schedule feeding frequency based on their fish’s needs, ensuring consistent care even when away from home. The Mijia App will actively send notifications if the feeder fails to operate correctly or encounters any issues.
Connectivity through the Mijia App unlocks a range of smart functionalities. Users can remotely control feeding, adjust pump speed, view temperature history, and set the flip cover lighting. Integration with Xiao Ai (Xiaomi’s voice assistant) allows for voice control of the aquarium’s lighting effects, simply by issuing commands to turn them on or off. The system can intelligently match lighting, filtration, and operating strategies based on user-defined tank duration, fish species, and quantity.
