Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new device with impressive battery capacity and charging capabilities. According to the popular resource Digital Chat Station, the device is equipped with a two-cell battery with a total nominal capacity of 5,900 mAh.
This is equivalent to a massive 12,000 mAh single-cell battery, which ensures a long battery life. In addition, the device supports 120W fast charging, which significantly reduces charging time compared to previous models.
Xiaomi’s next tablet: 12,000 mAh battery and 120W charging
The exact model remains unconfirmed, but there is speculation that it will be a new tablet. Previously, there were rumors that Xiaomi might release an OLED tablet in 2025 with an 11-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a top-of-the-line Snapdragon processor, up to 24GB of RAM, and 120W fast charging. The design is expected to resemble the Xiaomi Pad 6 series. Although it is possible that this could be a rumored OLED tablet, nothing is known yet, so take this information with a grain of salt.
The source also clarified that this tablet is not part of Xiaomi’s Redmi line and is expected to cost around 4,000 yuan ($548). For comparison, the top-end version of the current-generation Pad 7 Pro (12GB + 512GB) costs 3499 yuan ($479), indicating that this new tablet can meet the needs of the premium segment, directly competing with iPad tablets.
Xiaomi introduced the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro along with the Xiaomi 15 series in October in China. Both tablets feature an 11.2-inch 3K 144Hz anti-glare LCD screen with improved eye protection and a paper-like texture for stylus use. The Pad 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro version uses the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
They run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, support PC-level multitasking, and have features such as a floating keyboard with smooth adjustment and backlighting. The Pad 7 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, while the Pro boasts a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera. Both models support Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Atmos, and fast charging, with the Pad 7 having a 45W power supply and the Pro having a 67W power supply. The Pad 7 series is also expected to be available in India soon.
