Xbox Game Pass now rewards users for playing games on PC

Microsoft is allowing PC Game Pass members who are 18 years of age or older to earn rewards by playing PC games, which was previously only available to players on consoles with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This update goes live on January 7.

Subscribers (PC or console) will earn points by playing any game in the Game Pass catalog for 15 minutes or more. If you do this for five days a week, a series will begin that increases the multiplier. A four-week series gives you four times as many points. There are additional bonuses for playing four or eight different games per month, but again, they must meet the 15-minute threshold.

Although PC players are no longer left out, points are only awarded for games from the Game Pass catalog – games that require third-party launch, including those via Battle.net, are not counted.

The PC Weekly bonus will also be available to all Game Pass Rewards members who are 18 years of age or older. In addition, the weekly console bonus and the daily PC game have been rebalanced to 150 points and 10 points, respectively.

As EuroGamer notes, Microsoft has recently brought Game Pass to its knees as rewards have become harder to come by. It seems that the tech giant is trying to win back the favor of Game Pass subscribers.
