Kuro Games has unveiled details for the upcoming 3.8 update of its action RPG, Wuthering Waves, with the patch officially launching on November 12th. This update, titled ‘The Lily of the Faded Dream,’ brings significant enhancements to both PC and console versions of the game.

PC Optimizations: Smarter Downloads and Cleanup

PC players can look forward to the introduction of ‘Resource Categorized Download’ and ‘Resource Cleanup’ features, which have already been available on mobile platforms. These features will be rolled out gradually through a limited testing phase. Players will have the option to download either the full set of game resources or a streamlined, essential package directly from the game launcher, offering greater flexibility and potentially reducing initial download sizes and storage requirements.

Console Performance Enhancements: PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X Upgrades

For console gamers, the 3.8 update brings performance and graphics options to the PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Players on these consoles will be able to choose between a ‘Performance Priority’ or ‘Quality Priority’ mode, allowing them to tailor the gameplay experience to their preferences, whether they prioritize smoother frame rates or higher visual fidelity.

PS5 Pro Exclusive: PSSR Integration

In addition to the general console enhancements, the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Wuthering Waves will gain support for PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). This advanced upscaling technology will enable players to boost their game resolution up to 4K, further enhancing the visual clarity and immersion on compatible displays.

The ‘The Lily of the Faded Dream’ update promises to refine the player experience across multiple platforms, offering more control over downloads on PC and advanced visual options for current-generation consoles.
