WhatsApp is rolling out another update for Android users. According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform will now feature new theme colors for both dark and light modes. Note that the update is only available for WhatsApp Business users.
WhatsApp Releases New Themes
The update is available for some beta testers through the Google Play beta program with version 2.24.24.30. WhatsApp Business aims to deliver a fresh look with updated accent colors. So, what will these new updates bring? For the dark theme, users will get white accents. Similarly, for the light theme, you may get black accents. Previously, the light theme only had light blue accents.
The new update could give WhatsApp a sleek and modern appearance. This could ultimately create a user-friendly experience and enhance the app’s user interface. Additionally, the WhatsApp Business logo has been updated. Now the logo simply reads “WhatsApp,” which was previously displayed as “WA Business.” This change might reflect the updated and minimalist design of the messaging platform.
Other Updates
This isn’t the first time WhatsApp has worked on improving the user experience. A few days ago, on November 22, the messaging platform introduced a new customization feature for its users. WhatsApp aims to roll out a new update that will let you mention group chats in your status updates. Until now, you could only mention one person. However, this capability has now been expanded to include a group of people. With the update, you can mention an entire group in one go. You no longer need to mention each individual in every separate status.
Another initiative aimed at personalizing the user experience includes the launch of a camera shortcut. The new feature is currently available in beta version 2.24.24.23 for Android. This version is now accessible through the Google Play beta program. According to WaBetaInfo, this update brings a new camera shortcut. This feature is designed to simplify the process of capturing photos or videos directly from the gallery.
