Vivo plans to launch its X100 series of smartphones in China on November 13. The company has been teasing the launch for some time now and has now shared a commercial teaser on Weibo that gives a glimpse of the design and key features of the upcoming devices.
The promotional video emphasizes the key features of the X100 Pro, including the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. This makes it the first smartphone in the world to feature this chip. Another new feature is the Zeiss APO super telephoto lens, which promises to deliver superior image quality, especially in low light conditions.
In addition, the X100 Pro will also feature Vivo’s own V3 image chip, which is designed to improve camera performance. The company shared a few samples of the Vivo X100 series cameras that show promising results.
The Vivo X100 series will be available in four colors: black, white, blue, and orange. The basic Vivo X100 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will cost 3,999 yuan (~$549). This is the same starting price as the Xiaomi 14 series, which was launched in China last month.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to launch in Q1 2024 and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The company will also launch the Vivo Watch 3 on November 13, along with the X100 and X100 Pro.
