Vivo may be planning to soon launch a new smartphone called Vivo V40 Pro on the global market. This device may be a rebranded version of the S19 Pro, which was previously launched in the brand’s home market of China. So, here is everything we know at the moment.
The Chinese brand’s V40 Pro model has just been spotted on NBTC, which is a certification platform in Thailand. This means that its global release may not be far off. It appeared in the online database under the model number V2347. This listing also confirmed its V40 Pro nickname. Unfortunately, this certification did not reveal any other fine details such as the specifications and price of the device. But if it is indeed the S19 Pro, we have some idea about its hardware and other details as it was launched in China last month.
The Vivo S19 Pro has a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and 4500 nits peak brightness. Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. This processor is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a massive 5,500 mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging. In terms of optics, the rear panel features a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
Meanwhile, the front panel features a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. Other notable features include IP69 water and dust protection, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a custom OriginOS 4 shell based on Android 14. It’s worth noting that this is still just speculation at this point, and the brand has yet to officially confirm the Vivo V40 Pro. So take this news with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more on this.
